A little about us
We know how important your wedding is, and we know how to look after people. Before returning to the UK, our family spent eight years in Ibiza, where we learned the value of timing, care and warm hospitality.
We started Buen Apetito in 2008, cooking paella for festival crowds. Wedding and party catering became our focus in 2012, and today the business is run by our family, alongside our lovely waiting staff and front-of-house team.

We concentrate on serving exceptional food, hot and without a long wait. Our team takes care of the flow, so you can stay with your guests and enjoy the day.

Our team serves canapés as guests mingle and helps with welcome or post-ceremony drinks.

Our front-of-house team keeps service running smoothly, adapting easily around speeches, photographs and the day’s timings.

Sharing starters and desserts bring guests together, while mains are served hot and generously.

Vegetarian, vegan and other dietary requirements are considered with care, and guests needing separate dishes are served directly.

01 · Come to the pans
Guests choose their main course at our large pans on the day, so you don’t need to collect everyone’s choices ahead of time. It’s speedy, interactive and guests can come back for more.
Our team also serves shared starters, canapés, desserts and drinks as part of the wedding breakfast service.
02 · Share around the table
Our team brings serving bowls to the middle of each table, ready for guests to help themselves. Vegetarian and vegan guests are served their own dishes directly.
A lovely in-between of buffet and table service, with plenty of room for everyone to share.
You can also choose how you’d like your plates, cutlery and napkins presented. We’ll talk through the available options as part of planning.

We cater wherever you choose. A kitchen isn’t essential: a covered area is helpful, while access to water and a couple of plug sockets are a bonus. If there’s no kitchen, we can bring our own cover.
Our menus are chosen to work with the basics at your venue, and every course is prepared there on the day. We’ll chat with you and your venue about the practical details.
Planning without the pressure
We’ll talk through your ideas, answer questions and help the planning feel less overwhelming. Menu choices can be worked through in the lead-up to your day.
First
Meet us for a coffee, chat by phone or arrange a video call. It’s your chance to talk things through, with no obligation to book.
Then
We’ll explain the booking and tasting process. The tasting takes place at our catering premises near Exeter.
On your day
Our team arrives early, prepares at your venue and quietly takes care of service around your plans.
